Highlights |
- Curriculum and instruction are driven by the California State
Standards with a schoolwide goal that each child will master or exceed standards at his/her grade level. - Standards are implemented and displayed in every
classroom. - Early Intervention for School Success (EISS): Arroyo Vista has
been selected as a demonstration site for the state of California for kindergarten through second grade classes. - TEAMS: Students in grades 1-6 meet in cross grade level groups twice
monthly to develop aspects of character development, such as mutual repsect and cooperation. - Writers Workshop is implemented in every classroom in grades one
through six. - Technology is utilized as a tool for instruction. We have a school
wide goal of implementing benchmarks at each grade level. - State of the Art Facilities: located on 10 acres, the campus
currently includes a configuration of 30 classrooms in seven buildings designed around a central gathering area. - Classrooms feature a unique"teaching wall" and are equipped with
computers. Computer stations are also included in the school media center. - A multi-purpose gymnasium/auditorium allows for stage performances.
- Other features include a covered outdoor eating area and grade
appropriate play yards.
